1978 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide in Las Vegas, Nevada
This 1978 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide motorcycle was won by its
current owner in an auction that benefited Post 77 in Paul, ID, of
which the original owner was a long time member. The proceeds from
this Harley were used to replace the roof on the Post. The original
owner was a Harley-Davidson dealer in Idaho and special-ordered
this bike, which he kept for 40 years. It's a 75th Anniversary
Edition 1200 Electra Glide finished in Brilliant Red with King of
the Highway decals on the saddlebags, and sports its original
chrome rims with stainless-steel spokes and original Goodyear
tires. It is powered by a 1200cc 2-cylinder engine mated to a
4-speed manual transmission. The motorcycle has 3,500 original
miles (title reads mileage exempt) and comes with the original
owner's manual, owner's warranty booklet and a maintenance booklet.
