A bored version of Pontiac's 'Trophy 389', this legendary block, which is good for 335 horsepower and 441 lb./ft. of pavement-charring torque, continued the brand's theme of producing purpose-built performance engines. That stout 400 sends power to a stalwart Muncie transission, which is coded as a Muncie (P) assembled on October (R) 11th (11) 1966 for the 1967 (7) model year. That proven gearbox spins a tough GM 10-bolt that's stuffed with gravel-busting gears. At the sides of that rock-solid drivetrain, a fully rebuilt suspension is complete with factory-optioned power steering and heavy duty power drum brakes And muscle meets the pavment via 15-inch Pontiac Rally IIs, which spin 215/70 BF Goodrich Silvertown redlines around chrome trim rings and red PMD center caps.
