Vehicle Description
Extensive work has been performed on this 1966 Charger from 2009 to
present. It began as a solid Texas example and retains all of its
original sheet metal with straight body panels and good panel fit,
with an older paint job. It has a few imperfections due to use and
age. Exterior trim items are a combination of well-preserved
original pieces and replacements as needed. All soft products, such
as door window seals, have been replaced. The Interior has been
restored as needed, including replacing the headliner and carpet.
It's powered by an upgraded and completely rebuilt 440ci big-block
V8 engine with cast-iron heads, performance crane camshaft, backed
by a rebuilt Torque-Flight 727 automatic transmission with reverse
pattern valve body and a 3500rpm stall converter. This Charger is
equipped with performance exhaust, MSD ignition, Holley
double-pumper carburetor, forward Hooker headers, Performance
intake manifold, K&N air cleaner assembly, Sure-Grip rear
differential with 3:91 gears, Moser heavy-duty axle shafts and
non-adjustable Green bearings. It's also equipped with high-speed
balanced aluminum driveshaft, billet third member yoke, larger
U-joint, upgraded torsion bars, shock absorbers and leaf springs
have all been replaced, heavy-duty front sway bar subframe
connectors, power steering, front-disc brake conversion kit, and
rear drums which were replaced along with all brake hardware.
Additionally the wiring harness was replaced, interior forward
Dynamat insulation was laid throughout, the gauge cluster was
rebuilt with electro-luminescent lighting, a high-end sound system
was installed, and the headlight door motors have been rebuilt.
This 1966 Charger rides on offset American Racing wheels.
