1969 Deluxe Bus Restoration, New everything + Air conditioning
One of the nicest restored Bay Window generation buses in Arizona. This bus has been professionally restored with everything being taken apart, refinished, restored, painted, powder coated, polished, etc. The results are stunning making this bus a true daily driver. All new beautiful interior, custom head liner, the floors are superb, new custom integrated air conditioning, upgraded front disc brakes, completely rebuilt 2110cc engine with dual 40's, the reflection and straightness of the body is way above average, This bus is far more than just your typical quickie repaint and seat covers!
The body and paint are great, white over red, details to note include the chrome deluxe body trim, beautifully refinished bumpers, all new blinker and reflector lenses, all new window and body rubber, just a very thorough job. Even the underside of this Bus is as clean as the top side.
The interior is also superbly refinished in the proper two-toned basket weave pattern material. The custom headliner is gorgeous, tight, and accurate. All of the interior panels are new. All of the original seats were removed and completely refurbished, and re-upholstered to match original materials. The dash was removed and completely refurbished. The air conditioning unit was integrated in as the interior was being put back together for a seamless fit. The steering wheel and the rear view mirror are original but have new ones on order that will be installed when they arrive. Original A+ floors and all new mats. It has a new custom top motor hatch and cover.
Mechanically, this 1969 has been significantly upgraded to make it a true daily driver. All new axles, CV's, and shocks. New hubs and disc brake retrofit on the front of the bus. Structurally fortified front bumper. Completely rebuilt 2110cc motor with dual 40 carburetors customized to include the new A/C compressor. Completely rebuilt transaxle including re-gearing to make cruising down the highway no problem. All suspension parts were disassembled and serviced, and it has a factory 12 volt system, too. The wheels are correct, 14 inch rims that are powder coated and have a fresh set of white stripe tires and stock chrome hubcaps, too.
