proud to present this 1996 SL600 V-12 Sport. This example was built
in March 1996 at Mercedes' Bremen, Germany assembly plant. Its
release date was April 30, 1996 and it was delivered on May 3,
1996. Dressed in Brilliant Silver Metallic (code 744U), the car's
paint and trim are in overall excellent condition. The glass,
including the tinted rear window and rear sideview glass, are all
in fantastic shape, clear and crack-free. Also a brand new black
cloth power-soft top was placed on the car which looks and
functions great. The car's lights are in similar condition though
this model has no headlight washers or wipers but it has Xenon
projector headlights. This Benz has solid and straight bodywork and
its integrated bumpers fit tightly to the body. The car's engine
bay is tidy. This two-door coupe rolls on 245/40R18 radials at all
corners and each donut surrounds a silver, five-spoke AMG wheel.
Under the hood is a 6.0L 48-valve DOHC V-12 engine (M120), mated to
a five-speed electronic automatic transmission (5G-TRONIC). As
expected, this Benz is full of driver convenience features -
automatic climate control, cruise control, power steering, tilt
column, power four-wheel disc brakes with anti-lock, power windows,
power locks, power mirrors and power antenna. Other safety features
include dual front and side airbags and self-leveling suspension
with Adaptive Damping System (ADS). Inside, the interior is done up
in Exclusive Black Leather (code 561A). The multi-contoured bucket
seats and rear seat are all in excellent order, as is the dark gray
carpet and matching headliner. The four-spoke steering wheel,
instrument panel and inner door panel all mirror this look as well.
The center console and shifter along with the factory AM/FM stereo
with cassette deck also look great considering the car's age. AMG
was founded in 1967 and independently owned until 1999, when
Daimler-Benz took a controlling interest then Daimler became sole
owner in 2005. AMG is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Daimler.
This car is currently located at our facility in St. Louis,
Missouri. Current mileage on the odometer shows 69,636 miles. It is
sold as is, where is, on a clean and clear, mileage exempt title.
