GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1940 Ford Pickup Truck
for purchase. In 1940, the Ford Pickup trucks got a fresh styling
makeover that resembled the cars for the 1st time since the Model A
days. Many people believe this is one of the best looking pickups
ever made. It featured passenger car front end styling,
fender-integrated headlights with egg-shaped rims, and a
vertical-bars grille. The cab was strengthened and altered for its
classic look yet while still remaining a tough, capable daily
pickup truck.
The '40 Ford pickup offered here came to us from Texas and remains
in fairly solid overall condition. It is powered by its flathead 48
paired with a manual transmission. The truck runs and handles well
and goes down the road as it should. The truck was just given a
brand new fuel pump. It has been upgraded to a 12 volt system and
has aftermarket Bosch gauges. It rides on 16 inch factory wheels
with beauty rings with 215/70 tires mounted on. The truck is all
steel. There is endless potential for this good 'ol truck. Enjoy it
with the patina that only 78 years could produce, or restore it and
make it a big money truck.
