Dan has owned this vehicle for over 22 years. Dan is the
third owner and bought it directly from the second owner who
brought it back to McHenry County IL. The second owner was
working on a full professional restoration and due to a death in
the family reached out to Dan and decided to sell. Dan was
excited at the opportunity to finish this car to show level
condition. This car has had a full frame off restoration.
This car was originally a Dark Green with brown interior.
Dan painted the car like the one he had in high school. Just
like the one he met his wife in. He meticulously had it
dis-assembled and each body part was painted separately.
Every aspect of the car was painted separately and
re-assembled. The interior has the correct light and medium brown
interior with Wilton wool carpets. This show ready car has Ford
script glass, new wire loom complete, recently rebuilt engine,
rebuilt clutch, rebuilt pressure plate, rebuilt water pump, new
radiator and hoses, all new rubber and seals throughout, new white
wall tires, new brakes, new cylinders and new master cylinder.
All of the chrome and stainless were re-done. The car
has dual exhaust, completely stock and correct car.
The car also has radio heater, twin spot lights, and fender
skirts.
Seat belts have been installed, maintenance has been regular, tires
rotated and driven regularly, oil is always fresh and nothing needs
fixed.
The car RUNS & DRIVES GREAT!
This car has been stored in a climate controlled setting every
second of its life off the road. Zero Rust.
1951 is one of the most desirable years to own a Mercury especially
thanks to the Sam Barris lead sled. There has been an
incredible amount of these cars chopped. This classic has
become rare and the chrome goes on for days.
