Vehicle Description
This 1959 F-100 build started with a bone stock California truck
that was completely torn down to build a true Resto-Mod. The
original patina paint was wet-sanded and sprayed with a satin clear
coat to preserve it, while the trim was removed and powder-coated
Antique White. The original frame and suspension were replaced with
a modern frame that includes independent front suspension, a 5-link
limited-slip rear end, 4-wheel antilock disc brakes with slotted
and drilled rotors, and it all rolls on matching powder-coated
steel wheels. The original 6-cylinder was replaced with a
fuel-injected SOHC 4.6-liter V8 engine mated to a 4R75W 4-speed
automatic transmission. A Vintage Air heat and air conditioning
system was added for all-season use. The interior features an
updated steering column, Auto Meter gauges and a custom leather and
houndstooth bench seat. The short bed was fitted with diamond-plate
steel and bed-lined for protection. The original pink slip and
photos documenting the build are included.
