This vintage MGA is a really nice driver in sound mechanical condition with a 1500cc engine and 4 speed manual transmission. Only 12,462 were produced left hand drive for import to North America. Purchased in 1989 It received a 'body up' restoration and was on the road again in 1998. As a driver, it shows visible signs of wear with minor scratches and a couple of small paint chips. It was last licensed in 2016 and always garage kept. These cars were made to drive and enjoy not to be museum pieces. This one is a real head turner with its very durable, Jaguar Red Centari single stage enamel paint and bright chrome work. New carpet was installed both in the passenger compartment and trunk area. The optional luggage rack rests on the boot and underneath lies an original wire, spare wheel and tire. Under the bonnet is the original, numbers matching engine and transmission. The convertible top frame hardware is included but has no vinyl top. Two tonneau covers come with the car, an original in acceptable condition and a replacement version in excellent condition. Much more practical, for a driver, are the 4 Minilite Knockoff Wheels, made in the UK with brand new radial tires. Quite stylish too, I might add.
Just a little information about this listing: The owner of this car has given it a lot of tender loving care over many years but is selling due to health issues. I am a friend who has offered to sell it for him with no commission to keep the asking price down. No slick sales tactics, but an honest appraisal of this classic sports car. I feel that the asking price is more than reasonable but I am willing to entertain reasonable offers.
Thank you for viewing this listing.
