In 1959 Buick introduced to the world the Invicta. Stylish and
sleek Buick gave an overhaul to the car in 1961. Unfortunately, the
Invicta was overshadowed by many GM vehicles and only 5-years after
it was produced Buick cancelled production on this amazing car.
This 1962 Buick Invicta convertible is a great example why these
cars are so sought after today. Equipped with a few tasteful
upgrades like wheels, exhaust and a radio, this Buick is a great
way to standout against all the Camaros and Chevelles you'll see at
your local car shows.
Painted in 2007, today the car shows very well in a bright white.
The body and paint would be classified as in a great driver
condition. Not perfect, but not something you'll have to paint
anytime soon. The majority of the red interior appears to be
original besides the new carpet. The dash and seat covers are in
great shape and show no tears or cuts in them. The 17" wheels are a
nice touch as well.
In the engine bay you'll find the original Buick 401 nailhead V8
that carries the matching VIN stamp on the front of the block. A
lot of original components still exist, but you'll notice the
addition of the power brakes, edelbrock carburetor and a new dual
exhaust. The engine fires up easy and drives down the road great.
The factory A/C is present and still has the correct Yellow factory
BUICK stamp on the side.
