Rebuilt, upgraded, AND NEVER OFFROADED, 1972, Hawaiian Blue, K5 4WD Blazer with refitted interior and a Softopper black soft top. This is a first generation Blazer that has a low mileage Smeding crate engine (<1000 miles) and fully replaced fuel, electrical, cooling, exhaust, and mechanical supporting systems, as well as a rebuilt transmission, and fully serviced and resealed transfer case.
Kept inside for the past 15 years, we drove and showed the truck locally, took good care of it while performing extensive engine and mechanical system upgrades and spared no expense along the way. The body is in good condition, with the usual nicks and scratches, and has served us well… a real head-turner.
There are less than 1,000 miles since replacing the engine and upgrading all of the mechanical systems and running gear. A few examples are the Smeding Performance “Hot Rod” Crate Engine, rebuilt transmission, rebuilt axles with Detroit Lockers and Richmond rings and pinions in Dana axles (front and rear), Painless wiring harness, BeCool cooling with electric fans, Rancho suspension and steering stabilizers, Mickey Thompson wheels and tires, and Flowmaster exhaust behind Hedman headers.
On a four-inch lift, the interior is in good shape and set-off by the Flaming River steering wheel and column and the carbon fiber dash that is fully outfitted with AutoMeter gauges. Stereo is Sony with speakers in the door. A nice beefy powder coated roll bar sits under the soft top to keep everyone safe.
Our family has had the truck for 15 years and hate to let it go but it is time for someone else to enjoy it. We have extensive receipts and documentation to show how much we have put into the vehicle.
