1976 Pontiac Firebird Formula in Las Vegas, Nevada
Trophy-winning car known locally as "The Raven." This 1976 Pontiac
Firebird Formula 350 Custom Pro-Touring has been nut-and-bolt
rotisserie restored. It has Pontiac Historic Services paperwork,
and is powered by a Pontiac-based 383ci engine paired with an
automatic transmission. A highly optioned original Starlight Black
car with black interior, Rally gauge package, honeycomb wheels,
rear spoiler, recessed wipers, courtesy lamps and custom interior
trim. Custom touches include functional stainless air intakes and
fender vents, Trans Am flares and shaved trim. With massive
performance upgrades, the stroked matching-numbers 350 now sports
well over 430hp. It is equipped with port-matched intake and
aluminum cylinder heads with FAST fuel injection, forged pistons,
roller cam, roller rockers, ARP studs and Canton oiling system, and
stainless exhaust. The interior features custom Dakota Digital
gauges, Vintage Air air conditioning with safety improvements,
custom seats and racing harnesses. The tubular suspension has been
updated to QA1 coilovers, modern Corvette spindles and a Wilwood
braking system. Chassis flex was eliminated with Heidts
crossmembers and frame connectors. Combined with giant front and
rear sway bars, the modern suspension works hard to keep the
super-sticky ultra-high-performance Nitto 275 rubber planted at all
four corners. The Eaton and Moser Engineering-prepped differential
is equally at home on the autocross course, drag strip, or street.
No expense was spared in this meticulous four-year-long build.
Trophies are not included with the car.
