It has a rebuilt period correct NOM 327, 350 HP mated to a Muncie 4 speed transmission, 12 bolt posi rear end and front rack/pinion steering conversion. Details
A beautiful restoration was just completed on this Nova just in time for its participation in the 2200 mile 2018 Power Tour. It did so without any issues, a testimony to the builder’s capability. The paint is high end show quality….super, super nice….bright and shiny and free of chips or scratches. Sheet metal is very straight and the panel gaps are dead on. The bottom door edges are all sharp and rust free. All new weather stripping was installed. The chrome and stainless is new or buffed. New Coy chrome 18/20” rims set this car off with its killer stance.
The 327 engine (NOM) is fresh and runs very strong. The engine bay is highly detailed, dressed up for show. The engine is fitted a new 650 cfm Elderbrock carb, ceramic headers, HEI ignition and cooled by an aluminum radiator with electric fans. All new plug wires, battery, hoses and belts were added. The rest of the drive line consists of a Muncie M22, 4 speed transmission and 12 bolt 3:31posi rear end with Moser axles and front disc brakes. Church Boys Racing rack and pinion steering conversion greatly improves handling.
The factory SS interior is new…..dash, vinyl seating, carpets, headliner, door panels, etc. It has its original steering wheel, Sun tach, Hurst shifter, and floor console. All the under dash gauges work, as does the lights, wipers, turn signals, horn, and radio, etc. Underneath is very clean and tidy……. including new suspension components, springs and shocks, gas tank, new brakes & lines, and Flow Master exhaust system. The sub frame is excellent. It has the right stance. All the window glass is very nice and side glass rolls up and down effortlessly. The trunk is detailed, including the spare tire and the bumper jack.
The car starts, drives and handles and brakes well. It is mechanically very sound and well sorted out as completing the Power Tour testifies to. The rebuilt engine was done right. This vehicle is a pleasure to drive and sounds so good. It has just been serviced and is ready to enjoy.
