Bought 1934 in about 1988, fairly complete original equipment. Promptly completely disassembled it for frame off restoration. Replaced all rotten wood in doors, roof had already been filled. Checked stock engine and running gear, replaced differential gears and ran engine. Performed all bodywork, and repainted frame and body. Did fairly stock restoration with new interior. Replaced tires and tubes. Replaced brakes. But stock mechanical brakes very inadequate. Car stayed in this restored condition until about 2002. Then, considering stock running gear being really inadequate, and that roof had been filled previously, i decided to update running gear. I found a 1986 Pontiac Bonneville donar car in fairly Good shape, and began installing Pontiac running gear into 34. Huge difference, now brakes are updated, as well as engine, transmission, and differential. Decided to install Blower Drive Service 6-71 induction, and blew holes in pistons. Installed new lower compression pistons, which work well with induction. All Pontiac running gear was redrilled for stock 1934 wire wheel bolt pattern. Last update to car was installation of electric windows, and bucket front seats
