Vehicle Description
Just purchased from the estate of the original owner. Heavily
documented, everything from original window sticker to a hand
written log book with everything that was ever done to this car.
Obviously very well cared for, even the motor copartment was kept
clean. All original condition survivor! Just turned 67,000 miles
and I swear it could pass for 6,700!
EXTERIOR: Standing next to the car it looks practically new. I find
the colors very attractive, rich metallic green with the white top
is great. The body has no significant rust or damage. It's straight
from every angle. Considering the paint is original I would call it
excellent. Has a beautiful shine, minor nicks. Up front the grill
and bumper are bright shiney chrome. All the original trim, glass
and top are very nice. It has the optional opera window with
Lincoln logo and optional cornering lights. Tires were recently
replaced for the first time.
INTERIOR: Pristine all original condition. Really it's outstanding
inside. There is a small crack in the pull strap and couple missing
seat buttons, otherwise perfect. The big soft leather seats are
mint, not worn, faded or cracked. Back seat looks like it was
hardly sat in. The dash area looks new. The chrome trim and knobs
sparkle, lenses are crystal clear and illuminates with a mild green
light. The door panels are pristine. It's a non-smoker car, the
ashtrays and cigarette lighters have not been used. All of the
interior lights work- map lights front and back, door lights etc.
Original thick plush carpets are excellent. Headliner, steering
wheel, plastic trim are all mint. It is fully loaded inside with
full power accessories, reclining seat, cruise, tilt, Fm stereo
etc. I opened the glovebox and was very pleased to find a jack pot
of paperwork, all the documentation you could wish for.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It's wall-to-wall original carpet liner is still
like new. The jack has never been out, the shaft is still cadium
plated. The original Michelin spare has never been on the ground.
The light works, jamb and bottom of lid is shiney, still has a
factory inspection stamp weatherstrip doesn't have a nick in
it.
MOTOR COMPARTMENT: We didn't have to detail it, the motor
compartment was kept clean by it's owner. I was actually surprised
to see how nice it was. All the factory decals, stamps and finishes
are excellent. Everything is proper- duct work, vacuum lines etc.
No spray paint touch ups, all original and clean.
UNDERSIDE: No rusted or rotten metal at all. No damage. Everything
is proper. New muffler, tailpipe and resonator.
DOCUMENTATION: This is really a 1 owner car. We bought it from his
estate with the original title in the original envelope postmarked
June 14th 1972. We have the original window sticker listing the
options, colors, original dealer etc. The original glovebox pouch
has all of it's literature including manuals, warranty card and
pamphlets, brochures etc. There is a pile of old maps,
registrations, insurance cards. The cherry on the cake is a hand
written log book from day one until recent of everything ever done,
everything! Oil changes, maintenance work etc is all documented.
It's rare to find a book so complete that covers the entire
lifespan of the car.
The big luxury cars of the 70s are very nostalgic and popular. This
one has much to offer- it's an attractive, exceptionally clean,
documented, loaded survivor!
