Vehicle Description
1954 Chevrolet Corvette Corvair Motorama Re-creation concept was a
2-door fastback, 2 passenger coupe. When it debuted at the 1954 GM
Motorama in New York City, it was a Ruby Red color but was
repainted light Sea Foam Green for the subsequent Los Angeles Show.
The Corvair used the Corvette front end, thought it sported ribbed
air intakes on the hood that routed fresh air to the interior and
fender vents that allow heat to escape the engine compartment. The
Corvair had a wrap-around windshield and the roof was aircraft
inspired sweeping back into the chrome trimmed license plate
housing., which resembled a jet fighter exhaust port. This Corvair
was built over a three year period by Brett Henderson and owner
Mike Terry. Every effort was taken to duplicate the legendary
Motorama Corvair seen here. Nearly all body panels were custom made
including all of the window glass. This car has a custom built 265
cid V8 prototype motor for the 1955 Corvette with a 700R
transmission hooked up to a 1956 Corvette rear end so you can drive
this Corvair down the road if you wish to. The interior is all
custom had made to accent the Ruby Red color of the car. This car
was built from a 1954 Corvette and is titled as such with the
original Vin. tag and last four of the Vin. number stamped into the
stamp pad of the motor block. The numbers on the motor block are
also custom to make it a prototype for a prototype Motorama Car.
This is a 1 of 1 car. This is for the Corvette Collector or a
Museum, or the person who wants what know one else has. GM built 1
1954 Corvette Corvair and there is only 1 in the world. So if you
are wanting to own a 1 of 1 only 1 there is then this is your
chance. This car has won awards. -Vehicle is on consignment and at
