Vehicle Description
1931 Ford Model A Roadster
The Model A was produced from 1928 to 1932 and is an iconic piece
of American history that begs to be customized.
Why This Car Is Special
This Model A Roadster is a custom-built fiberglass body with custom
touches everywhere you look. A full top that tucks away nicely into
a custom blue boot is ready in case of an unexpected rain or to
keep the sun off of you on a hot summer day. This car has been
featured in calendars and magazines! Also included with purchase is
a complete set of exhaust to exit the rear of the roadster if you
prefer full exhaust.
Mechanical
A 283 Chevrolet small block which has been bored to a 301 is topped
with 6 carburetors! They not only give this hot rod a spectacular
look, but also great performance. That power is run through a stout
Turbo 400 automatic transmission and finally out back to a Ford 8"
with adjustable coil over shocks and a 4-link setup. The 301 is
further built with 202 hump heads, an Offenhauser intake and mild
cam, Moon fuel delivery system, braided fuel lines, long tube
headers and MSD ignition system. A chrome Magnum front drop axle
not only handles well but shines like a diamond. 4-wheel disc
brakes provide the stopping power and finned calipers not only look
good, but help keep everything cool.
Interior
The custom interior is done in blue and white vinyl with seat
belts, Stewart Warner gauges set into a custom gold dash panel. The
steering column is attached with a connecting rod for a very cool
custom look. The tilt column is fitted with a metal flake steering
wheel that takes you right back to the height of street racing. A
custom center console gives you storage, cup holders and nicely
hides the e-brake handle.
Exterior
Bright Blue Metallic paint with pearl hot rod flames are sure to
draw attention. Custom front and rear fenders and custom
pinstriping top this beauty off. Hilbrand front rime and the
classic big and little look give this Model A a hot rod stance.
This car looks great with the top up or down. Putting it down
exposes a chrome two person roll bar. Or put up the white top for a
more classy buttoned up look for a night out on the town.
Conclusion
This is a very well built and fun car. The way Ford and Chevy parts
have been brought together in this perfect marriage will make you
smile every time you fire it up. So drop the top, grab a passenger
and hit the road in this 1931 Model A Roadster.
