Vehicle Description
This 1963 Austin Healey 3000 is in excellent condition. The car was
restored 2008 - 2010, with all receipts kept as well as extensive
photos of the restoration process. A British Motor Industry
Heritage Trust certified copy of a factory record is available
showing this Austin Healey has matching chassis, engine, and body
numbers from when it was made in July and August of 1962, soon to
be sold in San Francisco, California.
The factory matching Ivory White body was meticulously restored by
Paintworks Unlimited in Dover, New Hampshire. There are no visible
imperfections in the body or paint, including the undercarriage.
Mechanical work was performed by Brit Bits Inc in Rye, New
Hampshire. It was brought back beyond factory condition, using
quality parts with a few minor upgrades like the Moss Motors alloy
valve covers and the removable carpet flap and plug for easy access
to the transmission dip stick.
The car is a pleasure to drive. The all new tan interior is
comfortable and in excellent condition. The numbers matching engine
runs with no problems and connects to a four-speed manual
transmission with overdrive.
This Austin Healey went through a top of the line restoration and
has been very well kept since. Any British car connoisseur will
appreciate this BJ7 and the condition it is in.
