Vehicle Description
This 1965 Corvette Resto-Mod was professionally built by LUCRA Cars
in San Marcos, CA, and completed in 2017. It was a complete
frame-off nut-and-bolt restoration and upgrade to a modern
Resto-Mod Stingray. While disassembled the frame was stripped and
powder-coated. The black PPG paint is stunning. The entire interior
is new and includes red leather seats, all-new carpet and
sound-deadening, and all-new dash with electronic gauges, door
panels and headliner. The car looks 100% stock from the outside and
interior, but has a modern 6.2-liter LS3 engine, new L465e
automatic transmission, RideTech coilover suspension, Wilwood
brakes, Smart Wire solid state electronics and a Vintage Air
system. It was upgraded with a new rack & pinion steering system,
new rotors, calipers, master cylinder and power booster, all-new SS
brake lines, a rebuilt rear end with posi-traction, a new
driveshaft, and all-new hubs and knockoff spinners. It also has a
new Griffin Performance radiator with electric fans and shroud,
all-new emblems, all-new rubber, weatherstripping, door and window
seals, and all-new assembly screws, nuts, bolts and washers for the
entire car, inside and out. Included with this stunning Resto-Mod
is a complete set of restoration photos and was featured in an
article on Hagerty’s website.
