The Story Behind this Ultra Rare 1958 Chevrolet (2-Door) Yeoman
A few weeks ago, I had 2 1955 Chevy Bel Air's on eBay and received a call from a very successful classic car dealer in Missouri who really wanted to Purchase both of them. He offered me about a 1/2 dozen cars that we could possibly trade and one of them was this 1958 Chevrolet (2-door) Yeoman. Well, I have always loved the 1955 - 1956 Chevrolet Nomads ... But ... I had never heard of a 1958 Yeoman and had no idea that Chevy even made a 2-door wagon in 1958. I mentioned the car to my hot rod buddy, Wes Pullin who owns Pullin Automotive By Design, and he just gasped. He said they were the "Rarest-of-Rare" cars and make incredible resto-mods. However, he had only seen a very few in his life. Well ... I traded for this Yeoman and when it was delivered we were very pleasantly surprised. It is an incredibly well engineered build with a 1987 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 5.0L v8, PS, PB, Front Disc Brakes, Vintage Air and a beautiful gray tweed interior. My friend Wes Pullin, added the 2-tone white paint job to the car and installed a new set of Riddler wheels and tires.
Now Here is a Personal Report
Our storage facility is about 30 miles from our home and right next to Wes Pullin's Automotive By Design. I drove the car home after it was completed thinking that I would just have a quick drive and enjoy it, but it was such a comfortable, nice driving car that I just kept it as my daily driver for a few days. I went to the grocery store, the bank and just used it for everything. Wow! What a great car! The A/C blows cold, the brakes work well, the Z28 5.0L engine is very strong and it shifts just like a modern car. The most important thing was when I picked up my friends (in my ‘58 Yeoman) ... They were just shocked as we rode 75 miles an hour down the Florida turnpike in this beautiful, head turning classic.
