Brokers and other people/entities that want to "help me" sell
this car, PLEASE DO NOT CALL ME. I have no interest in your
services. The only thing I am interested in trading for this car is
cash, no thank you to any tweaked or tuned vehicles, motorcycles,
alleged race cars, etc.
1988 Mazda RX7 convertible. The car has only three owners, I am the
third. It was the last owner's "baby". He owned it for 28 years and
kept it garaged. I have a copy of his title. I've had it since
November 2016. It was sold to me because the prior owner passed
away. This is NOT a project car. It is in good mechanical and
physical condition, fully operational with good brakes and tires,
it has current plates on it and it is insured. 131,200 miles.
Odometer will keep going up --- I drive this car, but not on a
daily basis. This car has not been restored . . . . what you see in
the photos is the original paint, and it is nice and red and shiny.
Frame is solid, no rust. Floorboards also solid, no rust. This is
not a car that will require that huge amounts of money be poured
into it. Red with gray interior. Five speed manual transmission.
Prior owner intended to make a cross country trip in this vehicle
(he passed away before he made it) and put some major bucks into
engine rebuild, clutch replacement, etc., and other work to get the
car ready for the voyage. That was done at around 129000 miles. I
have the receipt for the work. Too all of those who contact me to
ask "why didn't he just buy a new motor because that would have
been cheaper?" Motors have serial numbers on them that match the
car . . . . if it is the original motor. When you replace a motor
you change the value of the car from a valuable historical vehicle
to something just above the value of the scrap metal. The original
owner loved this car and wanted to maintain it a manner that
preserved its historic value, and that required keeping the
original motor. Original interior in place and in good condition.
Convertible top is original equipment and in fair condition. Spare
tire, tool kit, jack, specialized tool for removing wheel rims,
original floor mats, original owner's manual, boot cover and other
accessories are present and all in good condition except for
driver's side floor mat, which is present but shows lots of wear.
Original Pioneer Car Audio sound system present and in working
condition. Tires are good. Pop up headlights are fully functional.
Minor damage to driver's side door . . . the prior owner at the
beginning of his illness was trying to back his daily driver out of
the garage and accidentally rubbed the door of the Mazda while
doing so. If you are in the market for a vintage car that is in
good, safe driveable condition, will not require much cash
investment, and is enjoyable to drive, here she is! Title is clean
and clear. This is a truly lovely little car and it is fun to
drive. Cash only. I do not ship nor do I deliver. I do not
finance. Before I will allow you to drive away with this car, I
must be paid IN FULL.
