Vehicle Description
Garage Kept Motors is pleased to present this clean and original
1966 Chevrolet Impala SS Convertible for consideration. This is a
true Super Sport Impala with all ownership history. This car was
purchased brand new by an Air Force pilot who left his mark on the
front driver bumper of the car with his Air Force base parking pass
sticker (still in tact in the photos). The second owner purchased
the car in 1979 and has owned in ever since. In 1988, the car was
car was completely overhauled with a ground up restoration that
included rebuilding the motor, respraying the body in the factory
original color, and adding a new soft top. Since 1988, the car has
been garage-kept, routinely maintained, and driven occasionally for
parades and cruises. It remains rust-free and a great surviving
example, with just two owners since it rolled off the showroom
floor.
The car is painted in the factory original Ermine White with a
Black soft top (code C-2) over a Black (code 813-B) bucket seat
interior. It is powered by the original L77 283ci/220hp 4bbl V8
engine mated to a center console shifter automatic transmission
with rear-wheel drive. The car fires on command and offers a
smooth, nostalgic driving experience. No overheating issues, even
in high temperatures. The bright work remains in great condition as
does the paint, and the black soft top looks new. White wall tires
are wrapped around the original wheels. It is a classy car that is
sure to turn heads wherever driven. Comes with the original boot
cover, owners manual, and a clear Michigan title from 1983. Hagerty
values these cars at north of $30k for an average condition, so at
the price offered here, this is a great deal. An investment you can
show off and be proud of. Be sure to check out all the photos and
video on our main website: Garage Kept Motors. Call if interested
or e-mail with any questions. Thank you for looking.
