Local North Carolina 1-owner truck bought new at LaPointe Chevrolet in Charlotte. Truck came originally with a 327 and standard shift transmission. Was garaged and babied by the gentleman for 43 years, then he was wanting the truck to have modern creature comforts. So in 2011, he bought a “crate” 350/330HP 5.7L V-8 from Chevrolet and 700R overdrive automatic transmission and installed in his original truck. He also added Vintage Air Conditioning, front power disc brakes, power steering, and tilt steering column. Then, because the original paint was thinning, he had it stripped, and a show-quality paint refinish in the exact original color combination. He maintains that it was never wrecked or rusted. Also added Rally wheels, Michelin radials, fiberglass bed cover, and chrome rear bumper.
Truck has only been driven minimal miles since the updating. Drives tight just like you would expect, and runs strong. Hardly ever do you get the opportunity to purchase a vintage vehicle with this story and in this condition.
