Camino has been very well taken care of over the last 35 years both
mechanically and aesthetically. The Conquista package was mostly an
appearance package using this color combination exclusively. Around
2010 this El Camino was repainted using the original color
combination and looks just as good as when it left the paint booth.
The 305 cubic inch V8 that was an upgrade for the year still runs
very well and has had the carburetor rebuilt within the last couple
thousand miles. As you ride around in this El Camino, you will be
pleasantly surprised at the ride quality and sometimes forget that
there is actually a truck bed behind you instead of a rear seat!
The 305 provides plenty of power for this small truck and the
3-speed automatic transmission shifts smoothly in between each
