For Sale: 1965 Ford Thunderbird in Boynton Beach, Florida

Vehicle Description

1965 Ford Thunderbird Landau Special Edition is being proudly offered for sale  $15900. Out of 4500 Special Editions that were made I have been informed there are only 12 left in existence, increasing the value and desirability of this beautiful Thunderbird. Follow the link to Automotive Mileposts for a description of this vehicle’s special features http://automotivemileposts.com/tbird1965speciallandau.html. You will love this shiny classic car which looks almost like new. Here is a brief overview of the special features:

  • The shiny paint, Emberglow, is special for this limited-edition vehicle and is accented by a parchment interior and landau top.
  • It is equipped with halogen headlights for increased visibility, a 300 HP 390 V8 engine and a 3-speed automatic transmission.
  • It has fender mounted turn signal indicators on top of each front fender notifying the driver of when the turn sign is being used.
  • The vehicle is Air Conditioned.
  • It includes power steering and brakes, including front disc and rear drum brakes.
  • It has a power seat, power door locks and fasten seat belt warning light along with door open and flasher warning lights. (Windows are manually operated.)
  • The swing-away steering wheel is covered in leather.
  • The entire trunk area is fully carpeted, hiding the spare tire and complete jack beneath.

Everything works on the car including the air conditioner, power seat, windshield wipers, lights inside and outside, the clock and the radio. The interior and exterior are in excellent condition. The parchment seats look brand new.

The previous owner replaced the exhaust system, which is in excellent condition, as are the radial white wall tires. The radio has been changed to a digital AM/FM radio.

I have spent many hours polishing and protecting the car’s finish. The exterior paint has been clayed twice to get rid of any normal contamination. I have added protective sealant to protect the paint from acid rain, tree sap, and bird droppings. I have also applied a ceramic wax by Nano and the best Maguires Ultimate paste wax.

The car is in good working condition. In addition to routine maintenance, I have added:

  • New shock absorbers all around, new spark plugs and spark plug wires, new upper tie rod ends with upper ball joints and a new steering box
  • New power steering pump and hoses remanufactured for a no leak renewal
  • A recent wheel alignment by a garage that specializes in T-Birds and other classic cars
  • New brakes made of the best materials available.
  • A new ac compressor and clutch and ac receiver dryer, which allows for a “cool” driving experience even in the hot summer months
  • New under-the-hood insulation with new padding
  • Fresh painting and detailing of the entire engine area

Please look at the pictures that show this unique vehicle’s pride of ownership and long-lasting beauty.

The mileage as of this writing is 23,400. The title I received from the seller who last had it stated it was the ACTUAL mileage, but the state lists it as undetermined.  I have a copy of the title I received with the statement of actual mileage.

For evaluating the price of the car I went to NADA please follow this link https://www.nadaguides.com/Cars/1965/Ford/THUNDERBIRD-SPCL-LANDAU/2-DR-HDTP/Values
