The mid 70's was a boom time for the sport of trials and
virtually all manufacturers were trying to figure out how to
capture some of the market. Champion Enduro racer John Penton
rode various motorcycles off-road but was never pleased with what
was available. He decided to manufacture his own off-road machines
from scratch. Penton teamed up with Wassel in England to come up
with the Mudlark. The Mudlark was a trials bike using a Sachs
Motor, Ceriani Forks and a frame Penton designed.
1973 Penton Trials Bike. Serial # W367ST. This is a very rare
motorcycle and only a few examples exist. Very difficult to find
one today and this would make an excellent addition to anyones
collection.
