Vehicle Description
STK 2464 1936 Ford Humpback Streetrod
When this '36 Ford 'Humpback" rolled off the assembly it was a car
with a function and it fulfilled that function very well. That
said, this sedan has received a total street rod restoration
including a broad range of mechanical and cosmetic enhancements.
The current owner (17 years) applied a beautiful coat of Ford Black
lacquer in 2009. It has been carefully preserved and all chrome and
stainless are excellent. An elegant burgundy hi-grade vinyl
interior incorporates distinctive accents, a 'wood' 3-spoke banjo
tilt wheel and a distinctive walnut dash that holds a full set of
vintage custom gauges. Plush bucket seats, A/C and an AM/FM/CD
stereo system combine to create a comfortable, stylish interior.
Horsepower comes from a rebuilt (2012) 350ci Chevy small block with
aluminum intake, 4-barrel carburetor, 'shorty' headers, stainless
exhaust, Walker aluminum radiator and electric fan. The
transmission is a GM 700R4 automatic that provides torque to a 9"
Ford differential with 3.08:1 gearing. The sedan has been fitted
with rack-and-pinion steering and hydraulic power disc/drum brakes.
Front and rear sway bars and a polyurethane fuel tank have been
installed. Painted steel wheels with Ford Deluxe caps, beauty rings
and wide-whites complete the drivetrain. This handsome street rod
will soon make its next Blue Oval fan very proud. ALL VEHICLES SOLD
