For Sale: 1980 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am in Austin, Texas

Vehicle Description

This beautiful T-top Trans Am went through a 5-year, complete restoration. This is a real Trans Am, verified by the 'W' as the second digit in the VIN. No expense was spared to include replacing the original engine with the much desired Pontiac 400ci 6.6 Liter powerhouse.  This Trans-Am also has the WS6 performance package and is beautifully painted in Starlight Black with the Bandit package and has no signs of rust. The paint is high quality and expertly applied.  There is a mirror finish throughout the car with no orange-peel.  In addition to the rebuilt Pontiac 400 and automatic transmission, this restoration includes a new exhaust system, suspension, upholstery, seats, carpet, and the 15X8 snowflake rims were reconditioned and have new BF Goodrich tires.  The highly detailed engine bay is show-ready. I replaced all four headlights and exterior bulbs so that everything looks new and bright. The doors are tight and easily open and close with no play or sag. I just had the door locks replaced and power windows rebuilt (they work strong and fast) and just had a brand new Mojave heater installed.  The Mojave heater works just like the factory heater (using engine heat) and is connected to factory vents to blow on both the driver and passenger side. The switch is mounted on the side of the center console (see Picture). This Trans Am has been completely rebuilt, drives tight, starts easily every time and runs strong (see video-after first image).   I contacted the owner who did the restoration and he advised that this Trans Am was not wrecked or salvaged.  The car was gifted to him from a relative and he did not have the title. Getting a rebuilt title was the easiest way to title the car again.

This is a non-AC car, but you're buying a T-top car and have no need for it.

This last-of-the-big-blocks, iconic Trans Am gets comments at practically every stoplight and crowds gather wherever it's parked.  For added fun, it has air-horns that play Dixie.

I bought this car from Trans Am Specialties of Florida fresh off the restoration about two years ago and have only put 1100 miles on it. This Trans Am has been garaged and only driven in good weather.   She has $13k in paint and body alone.  This is a great driving car that will only go up in value. I hate to sell her, but have the first of 4 kids starting college this year.

This Trans Am is garaged in Austin, Texas and priced well below the cost of restoration. The price is firm, so please do not contact me if you are not serious.

Thanks for looking!
