This car was originally purchase in Bakersfield, CA. by the gentleman we purchased the car from. (picture attached as well as Paperwork). He bought the heap (lack of better words), brought it home, inventoried what he needed, flew to the UK and bought everything to bring the car up to the standard it is today. We bought the car from him and have driven it lightly and stored it in the garage. We maintained the car and redid the finish on the wood about 3 yrs ago. We fought the desire to put a Sprite motor and a 5 speed in it and kept it stock except for Sprite Disc brakes on the front. There is a radio with cassette and external speakers that can be removed by taking screws out and tossing it if one wanted. For those not familiar with this British car it has tons of charm and was designed to be driven in the country roads of England not on California freeways. Everywhere we go we get a story about this car (not exact of course). My husband has 5 hot rods and the latest is a gorgeous 55 Chevy with a monster motor and lots of work done to it. My car gets more looks than his as it is cute and rare to find one in this shape.
