We are pleased to present this survivor 1958 Chevrolet Impala 2 dr
hardtop Sport Coupe. This classic cruiser still has its original
paint and is slightly faded in some spots and been touched up other
spots. We believe this is the original engine with the D Suffix
code stamped on the engine head, which indicates a 1958 V8 283ci
185 HP, 2 bbl carburetor and a Powerglide 2 speed automatic
transmission. Both run smoothly. We also believe the original 2bbl
Rochester carburetor is on top. The original glass jar for the
window washer fluid is still in place. The AC still runs cold which
we believe was installed by the dealer and still shows the
Frigidaire compressor in the engine bay. The trim and bumpers look
very good to be half a century old but they do show a little age,
and the fender skirts and dual back antennas add a nice touch to
the appearance. It has driving features like power steering, power
drum brakes and dealer installed under dash a/c that runs nice and
cold. The interior shows a bit of age on the carpet and door panels
but the seats are in great shape and we believe to be original. The
dash is also in great shape with all the gauges less the clock in
working order and the original radio still installed with an AM/FM
Cassette deck hidden under the glove box. The speedometer may need
to be calibrated. This vehicle qualifies for an extended drivetrain
warranty. We can arrange shipping to your location. Please call or
text Savannah Classic Cars at (912) 235-2347.
