Pontiac produced the Solstice coupe for only a scant three months.
In this short time, only 1,152 sequentially numbered units were
produced. This particular example is number 465, and is one of only
77 units produced in "Pure" white. Powered by a 2.4L four cylinder
with variable valve timing producing 177hp and 166lb. ft. of
torque, this lite weight sportster can hit the sixty mile per hour
mark in as little as 7.0 seconds. The transmission is a smooth
shifting 5-speed automatic feeding power back to a tall 3.91 rear
end that provides brisk acceleration. Suspension is independent all
the way around, with Bilstein dampers and large stabilizer bars
giving excellent cornering ability without making for a harsh ride.
Brakes are four wheel disc with antilock, and traction control and
stability control are there to save the day if you run out of
traction. The outside of this amazing coupe is in outstanding
condition, with just a few subtle modifications that give a cleaner
and meaner look. The roof panel is completely removable for that
open air almost convertible like feeling. Wheels are 18X8 inch
polished aluminum with sticky Goodyear Eagles. Ont the inside,
you'll find ebony cloth seats, power windows, mirrors and locks,
cruise control, and Onstar. Sounds are courtesy of a Monsoon sound
system with AM/FM/CD player and integrated 10 inch subwoofer behind
