Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1930 Ford Model A Deluxe
Coupe. This is among the finest examples we've seen, finished in
correct two-tone Copra Drab / Chicle Drab with a Straw pinstripe
and wire wheels. Just over 800 miles on a complete nut-and-bolt,
frame-off restoration. Excellent paint over a very straight and
rust-free all-steel body. New Firestone whitewall tires on very
nice wheels; excellent chrome, grille, glass and trim. It's a very
attractive Model A that elicits compliments and thumbs-up wherever
we take it. The rumble seat passengers are always subject to lots
of attention.
The interior is likewise fully restored with period-correct
materials; nice square-weave carpet. Rebuilt instrument cluster
with all gauges working (including correct pop-out ignition
switch). New door panels, headliner, seat upholster and rear window
retractable shade. New seals and weatherstripping; all windows and
latches work easily. Beautiful hand pinstriping and trompe-l'oeil
wood grain on dash and door uppers. The only deviation from stock
is the addition of turn signals.
Under the hood is a rebuilt flathead Model A four-cylinder mated to
a three-speed manual transmission. An overdrive unit has been added
allowing this coupe to attain higher cruising speeds. Engine and
transmission were fully rebuilt (along with a new clutch) 800 miles
ago; steering, suspension and brakes were also fully overhauled.
Runs and drives just as a well-sorted Model A should. Nicely
detailed underneath. Ready for touring or shows.
