Vehicle Description
STK 2463 1958 Chevrolet Brookwood Station Wagon
The Brookwood model station wagon was the middle-line offering from
Chevrolet in 1958. It was equipped comparable to the BelAir sedan -
nice accents, but not quite as deluxe as the Impala/Nomad model.
However, this 'Carolina' 4-door Brookwood has received a full
restoration (2006) with an extensive list of mechanical upgrades.
The current owner bought the car from the original owner and has
provided a notebook of documentation for the restoration project.
The solid body was professionally refinished in Light Gun Metal and
White. All chrome is new including rare one-piece 'California'
bumpers and all stainless has been reconditioned. (It even has
back-up lights.) New tinted glass has been installed all around and
period correct Cragar S/S wheels mount Michelin wide-whites. The
interior has been completely refreshed back to original appearance
and the fully restored Impala wheel is a nice upgrade. A Vintage
Air system provides heat/cooling and an AM/FM/CD stereo provides
tunes. Gauges, door handles, locks, window regulators - everything
was renewed. Horsepower is furnished by a new GM 350 crate motor
with Edelbrock intake/carb (2101/1406-600), HEI ignition and
'shorty' headers with Flowmaster exhaust. The engine compartment is
beautifully detailed and a Vintage cruise control system is in
place. The motor is backed by a rebuilt 350 Turbo-Hydramatic and
the chassis is equipped with Saginaw power steering, power
disc/drum brakes and stock differential with new 3.08 gearing.
There is much more, but this Brookwood needs to be seen to be
appreciated. Look at the photos and then take a trip to AutoBarn -
meet a beautiful, rare '58 Brookwood wagon. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS
IS".
