Vehicle Description
This 1966 Chevy K20 4x4 Pickup is a cool find. What you have here
is the old school truck sitting on a Modern Drivetrain so it is a
much nicer ride and much nicer handling as well. The truck itself
came from Southern California and it had a super clean body that
they put new paint on that looks excellent! They also put a new oak
bed in the box. Porters Precision in California did most of the
restoration on this truck. They left the interior pretty original
but did recover the seat and added the wood steering wheel.
The drivetrain on this truck is from a 1990 Suburban so it is much
nicer to drive this vehicle than a true 66 would be. It drives down
the road excellent and cruises 75-80 no problem. It is a 3/4 Ton
with 14 Bolt Rear Axle and 10 Bolt Front Axle. The Transmission is
a 700R4 Automatic and has B & M lockup Controller for the OD which
makes it more fuel efficient. The Transfer Case is a NP241C. The
engine is a crate 350 with a Quadrajet Carb. It has HEI Ignition,
Headers with Dual Exhaust, and Edelbrock Aluminum Intake. Some
other options include Power Steering, Power Front Disc Brakes, and
Tilt.
