Vehicle Description
1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Coupe
The age of muscle cars peaked as the 1970s began - and the 1970
Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 helped to herald the ascent. When GM
lifted its displacement ban on midsize cars, Pontiac, Olds and
Buick responded with 455ci mills with up to 370hp. Chevy's retort
was a 454ci V8 that started at 360hp and ended at a barbaric 450hp.
This was the muscle car summit.
This tastefully modified Chevy turns a traditionally appealing
platform into a head turning superstar. If you are ready to hit the
streets in a sinister muscle car that's built to take on anything,
you need to take a close look at this Chevelle.
Exterior
With original paint stripped and replaced by Tuxedo Black 2 stage,
shadow gray war paint, and some orange pin striping to ice the
cake. All chrome has been coated with a sinister black, which makes
this car even more stealthy until you start it up. All around this
paint is a mile deep, and truly beautiful. 20-inch Boss Motorsports
wheels wrapped by Loinhart LH-Threes 245/35ZR20's in front and
275/30ZR20 pushing the rear produces a head turner that also snaps
necks.
Interior
A custom leather interior featuring all bucket style seating with
triangular tufted pattern, baseball stitched in orange covers all
the seats. Door panels feature an amalgamation of leather, suede,
black anodized aluminum cutout outs and custom drilled actuating
handles. Tight loop pile carpeting and a custom dash to rear seat
console that culminates at the top of the rear seats, glows a red
"SS" when doors are opened. A custom designed all vinyl dash houses
essential analog gauges, and a 5-speed manual shifter. Kenwood
provides the audio and features a digital screen for selecting
inputs.
Drivetrain
Gazing into the engine bay reveals 468ci of big block bliss that
creates an estimated 540hp. An impressive Tremec 5-speed throws
power to a 12-bolt posi traction rear around 3.08 gears. This great
drivetrain has been enhanced with a big Hotchkis sway ba,r
aftermarket control arms and modern lowering springs. Power
assisted steering maximizes driver's input. 4 power assisted
calipers grip drilled and slotted rotors and allow you to slow down
to pick up your trophy.
A Chevrolet Chevelle is the definition of the American Muscle Car.
If you are looking for a top notch, upgraded version, with a
sinister look, mile deep paint and eye grabbing interior, you need
to take a spin in this monster. You will soon realize that you can
not only accumulate trophies, but also own the street, and
everyone's attention walking down it.
