Vehicle Description
1967 Buick Riviera with 430 Wildcat 360hp/ 475 ft. lbs. torque,
auto, ps, pb. For whatever reason the original engine was replaced
at some point around 1968 with an identical Buick Wildcat 430, same
power ratings and all. This car has always been garaged, owned by
her until about 2014 when sold it to grandson. The car is a time
capsule with the original code correct Riviera Red and Fawn/ White
interior. I have never seen original wiring and under dash looms
look this clean and new, very impressive. I immediately decided to
do a partial restoration so that I could keep the survivor status
of the interior, trunk, and under hood rather than a rotisserie
restoration. This car is a daily driver underneath but looks super
clean, original except for the exhaust, springs and shocks.
Aluminized exhaust with stock mufflers are very quiet and in great
condition. The engine pulls 22 mm-Hg at idle and is very smooth.
Under hood has completely been restored, down to the insulation,
firewall/ fender and original Buick Red engine paint. Correct GM
decals. I have only added the correct fan shroud and a new air
cleaner, Have the original air cleaner untouched. Gap .016/ dwell
set at .30 with new spark plugs set at .35. New filter with Mobile
1 just done this week. Tires and wheels are brand new, American
Racing 18' wheels with P235 50R18's from Discount Tire. The trunk
is all original down to the cardboard turn signal covers, has the
original 3 stripe spare. All new rubber trim and stoppers all
around. The following is new or has been replaced the past 500
miles: Battery, points, rotor, cap, wires, plugs, alternator, fuel
and air filters, springs and shocks front and rear. Brakes rebuilt.
Master cylinder is the original Bendix with the bleed screws.
