1978 Mercury Grand Marquis.This vehicle is a true time capsule.
Purchased from the original owner who had ordered the car new from
Castrucci Mercury in Cincinnati, OH in April 1978. Most of the
mileage was accumulated driving between Ohio and Florida. The car
has never been in snow, never been in an accident, never been
smoked in, and has been in climate controlled garages its entire
existence. The vehicle is very well equipped for 1978 with its full
power package (steering, brakes, windows, door locks, driver's
seat, antenna), AM/FM stereo, leather interior, cruise control,
digital clock, rear window heater, and A/C. All factory options
still function properly including the cigar lighters in the rear
doors. The car has the original full vinyl top and the original
silver paint still shines like new. The dark red leather interior
is in perfect condition with no wear marks, tears or cracks
anywhere and includes the optional factory floor mats. The fully
carpeted trunk includes the factory spare tire (which has never
been removed from the mount), bumper jack and wax pencil markings
from the assembly line 40 years ago. The car was rustproofed by the
dealership when new and before it was delivered to the original
owner. Other than regular maintenance, the only things that have
been replaced are the tires, battery, and the A/C compressor was
updated (the factory original A/C compressor is in the trunk in its
box). The factory original owners manual, books, warranty card,
keys, build sheet and most of the service records are also in the
car. This vehicle is truly in amazing condition and could be driven
