This is a1950 Chevrolet Suburban with new drivetrain, brakes and electrical. It is powered by a new 350 small block with edelbrock intake manifold, 4 barrel carburetor and with a 350 turbo transmission. Everything mechanical and electrical was replaced. Work was performed by Kendig Automotive in Pasadena. Kendig has two Hot Rod magazine covers for his 1955 Chevys. This work included a 12 volt solid state system with new wire harness, with all connectors and terminals crimped and soldered. The truck has new front disk brakes, early 1970s corvette master cylinder, and new brake lines. As an example of the quality of the work, the 1956 rear end case has new axels, gears, bearings and seals. New radiator, fan shroud, radiator fan on toggle switch and trans fluid cooler. New carpeting and pad with insulating foil backing. New interstate battery and 12 volt wiper motor. New paint 2009, striped to the metal. New windshield and front door glass and seals, 2018. Sliding glass windows with new felt tracks and rubber seals, 2018. Original front and middle seats with new upholstery. New chrome bumpers, grille and light surrounds. New wheels and tires. Needs headliner, stereo and paint. Local show quality painter gave me a bid of $5,000.00 and the Macco guys said $800.00 for the yellow. The costs for what needs to be completed still makes this truck a very good deal, considering how well everything has been done.
