Vehicle Description
1963 Dodge Power Wagon W200Mostly stock and original W200 Dodge
Sweptline (3/4 ton 4x4) with 120' wheelbase with 61808 original
miles; model 420 per the data plate. Almost cherry. Minor surface
rust, (one bubble under the stainless trim above the windshield);
no dents, heavy duty truck currently used daily for working. Low
silhouette service body by Douglass (4' net x 10') out of
Bakersfield--original owner says it came new from the dealer's lot
in Auburn with the bed. Front fender infills are extremely rare and
factory. Stock V8 318 poly with professionally rebuilt heads burns
regular unleaded. New long tri-y headers from Stan's Headers
(Washington) are heavy duty with complete new dual exhaust.
Original radiator just boiled/serviced. No leaks. No overheating.
Archer (vintage) Capacitor Discharge Ignition. Adapted air filter
works with cartridge and a moonie hubcap--comes with original oil
bath if you are a purist. Many spares, including new Carter carb.
Stock 4 speed transmission is crisp and shifts like new. Factory
power brakes are newly rebuilt in professional shop. Four wheel
drive works as original, no slop, no difficulty, engages easily.
Warn freewheeling hubs work as new. Dana 44 front axle, Dana 60
rear. Two fuel tanks. 8000# winch work great. New E load range
M&S highway tires with 1000 miles wear on late Dodge 3/4 ton 5
spoke wheels. Includes complete a second set of 12 x16.5 on steel
rims for off road. Excellent truck--you can put it to work on
Monday. Parts are no problem. Very reliable. Starts instantly. Easy
to work on. Goes down the road with low stress and one finger and
one thumb. I would drive it to New York today. New heavy gauge
lower floor pans, professionally done old style with continuous
welding & replaced one cab mount. Dynamat makes truck quiet and
conversation normal... Needs a new floor mat, and new rubber for
the windows and doors would be nice ($145 kit), though windshield
is sealed with black polyurethane. All locks work.
