For Sale: 1938 Custom Looney Tunes in Volo, Illinois
To Be Auctioned Off No-Reserve Beginning on Sept. 19th. Estimate
$30,000 - $35,000.
From the creative mind of Hall of Fame car customizer Jay Ohrberg.
This Bunny mobile is approximately 24 feet long and custom built
from scratch. When Jay envisioned this car, it was drawn out on
paper, then mocked up in small scale before beginning the daunting
task of building the full size running and driving version.
Using an air-cooled VW engine for a power plant Jay started by
building a steel frame and cage for the body and chassis. The car
was made fully operational and drivable before hand forming this
one of a kind fiberglass body to it. All the details like the
carrot and teeth were hand carved into a mold before pulling the
final fiberglass pieces from it. Once completed the car toured the
world to several different countries as part of a collection of
weird and unique cars that were built by Jay. It draws a crowd
wherever it goes. The car is still fully functional and can be
driven in parades and other events. It is a source of revenue as a
rental car for grand openings, company events and more. While this
car does run and drive, it was not built to DOT standards and is
not recommended for the road. Since it was built from scratch, it
is sold on a bill of sale only with no title or VIN.
Jay Ohrberg has built some of the worlds most famous and unusual
custom cars including many from TV and Movies. They have been
displayed in museums all over the world, published in magazines and
have even been in the Guinness Book of World Records. Jay was a
ghost-builder building cars for people like George Barris. If you
are not familiar with his name, you are familiar with his work!
Kustom cars by famous builders demand high dollars but we're
offering this wild creation to the highest bidder regardless of
price! Auctioned off to the highest on-line bidder beginning
