This is an extremely rare '65 Coupe. Silver Pearl with Silver Interior. Its # 754 off the assembly line built in late 1964. This car has only had two owners. I bought it from the family of the first owner.
Full off-frame restoration, #'s matching 327 ci engine, Protecto-plate and original owner sales documents included. This car is an original Southern California car including yellow on black California license plates. Fully loaded: Power windows, power brakes power steering, AC, telescopic teak wheel, and 2-speed Powerglide transmission. Very low mileage car drives like new.
Full drivetrain rebuild during restoration. Balanced and blueprinted engine with roller cam and rockers with hardened valve seats. Much more than the original 300 hp under a fully stock looking engine. Original carburetor and dual-snorkel off-set air cleaner in storage. Currently running after-market MSD Atomic EFI throttle body injected carburetor and 1968 Corvette open air cleaner so, runs nicely on premium unleaded over 18 mpg.
GM Styling Division had updated the sports car and added a rotary engine before the automaker pulled the plug on the project
They called it “King of the Hill”
