STK 2456 1978 Pontiac Trans Am
Pontiac first optioned their Firebird with the "Trans AM
Performance Package' in March of 1969. By 1978 the Trans Am was a
legendary Pontiac model. This stunning Trans Am is a classic
example of this 70's muscle car that was fully restored in 2013. An
odometer reading of 61,400 is said to be actual. The exterior was
professionally refinished (2013) in Martinique Blue with Trans Am
trim and 'hood bird'. Smoked glass T-Tops are in good condition and
gold Trans Am honeycomb wheels mount BFG Radial T/A tires. The
restored vinyl interior is in very good condition and convenience
features include: A/C, AM/FM/CD-changer stereo system, tilt wheel,
tinted glass and a full factory gauge package. The Z-code 6.6L
engine (400/Pontiac sourced) is stock and we are told that it has
not been rebuilt. Power is delivered through a 4-speed manual
gearbox w/factory Hurst shifter to a rear differential with 3.42:1
gearing. The suspension incorporates power steering, 4-wheel power
disc brakes and Pontiac's WS-6 Special Performance Package. This
Trans Am has been carefully restored back to original condition and
