1952 Packard Patrician 400 ?Show and Drive? 8 - Automatic As the
High-End Packard of the year, and with a low production in 1952 of
only 3,975, this Packard Patrician 400 was available as only a
Premium four door Sedan. With a list price of $3,662, it was an
expensive purchase! It had Packard?s 327 Cubic Inch in-line 8
cylinder which was the best offering from Packard at that time. The
?Ultramatic? automatic transmission worked perfectly for our 85
year old seller who?s ?bum knee? didn?t get along with the standard
transmissions in other models. Overall, the condition would be
considered that of a Casual/Local Car Show level presentation. The
Tuquoise paint has more gloss and shine than when it was new given
the higher quality of today?s paint. Our seller has maintained the
mechanical condition and recently replaced the gas tank and the
battery and said he wanted to keep it in dependable driving shape,
so he did whatever was necessary to keep it that way. As a
restoration aged over 15 years, it still turns heads at the shows,
on the road, and it?s really fun to own. Call us for more details
