Vehicle Description
To optimize your experience in the collector car hobby, you have to
cover a few basics. First, there's power. The best thing about a
storied Detroit muscle car is the thrill of its legendary V8.
Secondly, there's appeal. Nothing quite matches the pride of
turning heads while rumbling down Main Street. Third, there's
longevity. It's always best to wrap power and appeal in a quality
restoration that'll provide years of reliable cruising. When it
comes to hitting those essential tenets, this stylish Camaro is an
excellent proposition! It nails the power part of the equation with
327 cubic inches of Chevrolet small block. Appeal is certainly no
problem, since it's a timeless Chevrolet coupe that's decked in
silky Butternut Yellow 2-stage. And longevity is virtually
guaranteed since the car is the beneficiary of a detailed,
ground-up restoration that's been reliably sorted. What's better?
Thanks to our excellent asking price, this Chevy's lucky new owner
can score a killer classic without breaking the bank!
CLASSIC GOOD LOOKS
Not far removed from a $70k, ground-up restoration, this crisp F1
reflects a warm coat of classy Butternut Yellow 2-stage. That
pigment is the perfect foundation for painted Super Sport stripes,
which look natural leading matte Rally Sport rockers and a matte
Super Sport valance. And today, this killer Chevy rolls as a
spectacular piece of iconic American muscle that's detailed to
better-than-new standards.
Those standards begin with a stylish Rally Sport grille, which
hangs a bright "SS" emblem between hidden headlights, Rally Sport
parking lamps and a fresh bumper. Behind that grille, a
Camaro-branded header leads an ornate Super Sport Hood, which
reflects like-new glass that's seated under mirrored wipers, bright
drip rails and straight stainless frames. At the sides of that
hood, a clean profile plants traditional Camaro badging amid a
standard mirror, factory door handles and Rally Sport rocker trim.
And at the back of that profile, an attractive D80 deck spoiler
shades tasteful taillights, Rally Sport reverse lamps, an SS fuel
cap and a second fresh bumper.
CLASSIC POWER
Jump behind the wheel and you'll command 327 cubic inches of buff
Chevy small block that's been fully rebuilt and fitted with hot
aluminum heads. At the top of that proven mill, a polished air
cleaner funnels breeze in to a FAST throttle body that's wired with
FAST self-tuning electronic fuel injection. That body feeds a
lightweight aluminum intake, which rides between polished,
Corvette-style valve covers. Behind those covers, a FAST dual-sync
distributor sequences FAST E6 ignition through loomed MSD Street
Fire wires. Those wires snake around throaty, long-tube headers.
And at the front of those tubes, traditional V-belts spin lucid
power steering beneath a modern alternator and a polished AC
compressor. Every bit as clean as its exterior, this Camaro's satin
engine bay provides an excellent backdrop for the Chevy Orange
engine. And many nice details, like a fresh brake booster, a fresh
radiator and a fresh washer reservoir, complete the car's excellent
assembly.
ROAD-READY MUSCLE
When the small block jumps to life, it spins torque through a tough
Tremec 5-speed, which twists power to a familiar 12-bolt axle
that's finished with an open differential and friendly, 3.30 gears.
That Satin Black pumpkin pushes a factory frame, which rolls on a
fully rebuilt, factory-spec suspension. Turns come courtesy of
tight power steering. At the corners of those bones, power front
disc and rear drum brakes bring everything to a tidy halt.
Aluminized pipes bark the V8's roar through a polished,
transversely mounted muffler. Power meets the pavement through
stainless-trimmed Rallies, which turn 215/65R15 BF Goodrich Radial
T/As in front of 225/70R15 BF Goodrich Radial T/As. And the car's
solid, Satin Black floors frame niceties like stainless fluid lines
and a stainless fuel tank.
CONSERVATIVE CONTRAST
Between the doors you'll find a stylish Black interior that, in
addition to being one of the most popular and versatile themes for
timeless Detroit muscle, offers a sharp contrast to this Camaro's
buttery paint. At the center of the car, Deluxe bench and bucket
seats provide comfy seating for four. In front of those mitts, a
wood-trimmed dash hangs rebuilt telemetry next to modern RetroSound
audio and modern Vintage Air climate control. At the base of that
dash, fade-free carpet frames a wood-trimmed console that's
finished with a polished American Powertrain shifter and 4-pack
accessory gauges. Opposite that console, Standard side panels frame
traditional door hardware. The driver turns a reproduction Rally
Wheel. And the passengers stow essentials in a restored and matted
trunk.
