The 1959 Edsel was based upon that year's successfully redesigned
Ford, with the bodies distinguished by lowered, more subtle quad
headlamps, taller windshields, and rear end styling modified with
flat taillights - and, of course, that famous Edsel grille, so
beloved and deified by this collection's owner, right up front.
This particular 1959 Corsair is among the finest original examples
in existence, a beautifully preserved correct car in Redwood
Metallic and Desert Tan, that left the factory with the most
powerful available engine, the 303-hp Super Express V-8. Reportedly
an award-winner at several concours d'elegance over the years, it
is truly an automobile for the Edsel historian and connoisseur.To
