Beautiful BMW 320i S Package E21 for sale. Only 2,500 examples of the US-only 320is were produced from 1980-83. Excellent, California car with just two owners, one of which has actually owned the car twice. Equipped with a fuel-injected 1.8L M10 inline-four paired to a 5-speed Getrag gearbox, the “S” package added Recaro sport seats, manual sunroof, leather steering wheel and shift knob, fog lights, upgraded suspension with front sway bar, upgraded rear sway bars, limited-slip differential, cross-spoke alloy wheels, a front air dam, and upgraded tool kit. Includes books and a clean Carfax report. Both of it's owners are old friends so it's nice to know where this car has been. Current owner has had the car in his collection for nearly a decade.
Great looking car, especially after 35 years. Always garaged and still wearing it's original Schwarz black paint with a nice shine. We're told the car is accident-free and it appears to be the case. The undercarriage is damage-free and there is no rust anywhere.
The interior is in good, original condition as well. Nice headliner, seating, carpet and door panels. A little wear as to be expected on the drivers' side left, lower bolster and a couple of very small cracks in the dash. Otherwise looking very presentable and quite comfortable.
The fuel-injected M10 SOHC inline-four was rated at 99 horsepower when new and sends power to a limited slip differential. The car starts; runs and drives smoothly with plenty of power and burns clean. The engine was replaced around 37k miles ago and the car just had a $1,200 service performed so it's road-ready. Compression is strong at 170-170-165-170. The clutch feels excellent along with the brakes and suspension. Tires have been replaced.
