While the chassis and drivetrain of 1960 Fords remained largely the
same as the year before, the bodies were all new and beautifully
modern, with twin headlights riding in a scalloped front clip,
unique half-moon-shaped taillights, and smaller curving tailfins.
This would be the only year for this styling. A minor "first" was
the introduction of a fuel filler door in the center of the rear
valance, something that would be subsequently copied by several of
Ford's competitors. A rare surviving example of the 1960 Galaxie
Sunliner, The Shrine of the Holy Grille's example is an older
restoration in its original color, Corinthian White, and equipped
as when new with the 220-hp Interceptor 352 V-8 and Ford-O-Matic
