Vehicle Description
The K5 Blazer, was introduced by Chevrolet in 1969. It was designed
and marketed to compete with International Harvester's Scout and
Ford's Bronco. The edge the Blazer had above its rivals was to
simply offer a shorted pickup truck, which both increased interior
space, and lowered cost of production with a shared platform. The
success of the Blazer prompted GMC, to offer its own version of the
truck, The Jimmy. The Blazers and Jimmy's ruled the newly created
SUV market for two decades and today remain a favorite choice of
vintage 4X4 enthusiasts all over North America.
These trucks also came with the famous 350 V8 that is dependable
and powerful. Full time four wheel drive option was also part of
the package that allowed you to shift in and out of 4x4 without
worrying about locking the front hubs. This 1976 GMC High Sierra
Jimmy features a strong running 350 v8 paired with an automatic
transmission. Other highlights include power steering, power
brakes, freshly upholstered front seats, center console, spare
tire, AM/FM radio, removable top, air conditioning, power brakes,
power steering, roll bar and Boss Marine speakers. The Jimmy came
to us from Iowa and remains in great condition both inside and
out.
