For Sale: 1967 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme in Arlington, Texas

Vehicle Description

1967 Oldsmobile 442

With the arrival of the 60s the looks of vehicles changed pretty drastically and the muscle car era arrived. Every manufacturer wanted to get in the game and Oldsmobile did so with the classic 442. This number referred to the original cars 4 barrel carb, 4 speed transmission and dual exhaust although it was used in some years where a 3 speed and automatic were options. In 68 the 442 became its own model but prior to that it was a performance option only available on the Cutlass Supreme line of cars. What you see here is a 67 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme with the factory 442 package. It is also considered a Holiday Coupe meaning it has no post and others not familiar with these cars would likely call it a hardtop. This car has been well maintained with only 58,867 factory miles. It has always been garage kept and has been in storage for the past 10-12 years. It has had 3 previous owners and 1 repaint in the original color. The body is very straight and solid. The floors are solid and are a good indicator of how well it has been cared for. The pale yellow paint has a nice finish and looks great paired with the Black vinyl top. All of the original trim and chrome have a nice shine with no pitting or issues. It has a great stance and rides on the original style wheels with BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires.

These cars originally came with a 400c.i. motor but this one has had its original motor swapped out. That is a big reason that it is being listed at such a reasonable price. Should the original motor be in place the asking price would be significantly higher. It is now powered by a Oldsmobile 330 V8 motor that runs great. The engine compartment has a nice clean stock appearance with a red high compression air cleaner. The car has had multiple recent improvements which include new air shocks, a new rear sway bar, rebuilt carburetor, rebuilt distributor, new cap/rotor, new spark plugs and wires, a new starter, new batter, new aluminum radiator, new exhaust, new disc brakes, new tires, a new air cleaner, new rear control arms, new front sway bar links and an entirely rebuilt turbo transmission with shift kit. That is a lot of new stuff! Basically the car was gone through mechanically to make sure everything is road ready. You can hop in it and drive it anywhere! The power steering and power brakes make it a very comfortable driver and the AC system has also had an aftermarket upgrade to 134A so it is a simple process to get charged.

The interior of the car is done in Black and the upholstery is all in great shape. It has dual bucket seats up front with the factory center console to house the shifter and additional storage compartment. The dash has the original layout and everything works except for the TicToc Tach. A smaller set of aftermarket Sunpro gauges were added under the dash for temp, oil, and voltage. The radio has been replaced. The trunk of the car has been nicely finished out with a custom trunk mat and houses a spare wheel/tire.

This is a great running car and is being offered up at a great price. It has been authenticated by Ed Cox who is a well known 442 expert in the area. If you like the look and features of this car then it is definitely time to come take it for a test drive. Make sure you are ready to buy it though because once you drive it around the block you won't want to leave with out it!

This classic 442 is being offered up for only $29,900.00!
