To Be Auctioned Off No-Reserve Beginning on Sept. 19th. Estimate
$22,000 - $27,000.
Only 2 Ferrari Daytona's were built and used on the hit TV series
"Miami Vice". Neither of them are for sale, nor will they be
anytime in the near future. The screen used McBurnie Daytona's are
valued at over $500k each and real Daytona's built by Ferrari are
valued at over a million, making this car a bargain! We purchased
this car to display in our museum while our screen used Daytona was
being restored.
This Miami Vice Daytona replica is a real McBurnie body, of which
fewer than 150 were made. In order to replicate the Miami Vice car,
this one features true knock off wire wheels and the iconic black
and tan color combination. Like the Miami Vice Daytona it features
a Corvette interior that was dressed up with Ferrari details like
the black seat inserts.
This car was built and titled in 1986. It is believed to have been
built by Carl Roberts. It was built on a C3 Corvette, which allows
it to be a low maintenance and easy to work on car, its all
Chevrolet! The paint is buffed to a glossy finish, interior shows
well, tires are new, engine bay and undercarriage are both clean.
While the car looks like a million bucks, it is 30 years old and
does have aging.
